Transcript & Notes for YouTube™ ("the extension") does not collect, store, sell or transmit any personal data.

• The extension runs only on youtube.com pages. It reads the transcript that YouTube provides for the video you are watching and shows it in a panel on the page.
• Transcripts are processed entirely in your browser. They are not sent to us or to any third party.
• The only data saved is your panel settings (for example, whether the panel is collapsed), stored locally with Chrome's storage API on your device.
• The "Summarize with ChatGPT / Claude / Gemini" buttons copy a prompt with the transcript to your clipboard and open the chosen service in a new tab. Nothing is sent until you paste it yourself; that service's own privacy policy applies to what you send there.
• No analytics, no cookies, no accounts, no ads.

If this policy changes (for example, when optional AI features are added), this page will be updated before the new version is released.
